OUR STORY

Moreland Farms is a multi-generational, family-owned farm located in north-central Oklahoma, an hour south of Wichita, Kansas. We pride ourselves on running a large, progressive grain operation, along with a cow/calf herd and an excavation/construction business.

Lisa and Matt have three sons, hence the name, “Moreland Farms 5.” James, Will, and David all attended Oklahoma State University and returned home to work on the farm after graduation. We’re a close-knit team that supports each other and are passionate about performing a quality job. We are blessed to have Matt’s parents nearby and for the boys to have grown up with Matt’s maternal grandmother. Matt started farming four quarter sections of her ground in 1988.

We are predominately no-till farmers and grow winter wheat, corn, cotton, and soybeans. Our typical rotation is wheat to soybeans to corn (or cotton) and back to wheat. We irrigate along Bluff Creek and the Chikaskia River. We use grid sampling and data mining to determine rates for our seed and fertilizer inputs. We are available to farm on a custom, cash, or share basis.

Moreland Farms became Sukup Grain Bin dealers in 2020.  We built three 75,000 grain bins for our own operation, incorporating a corn roller to supply feed for hog and cattle farms. We plan to add another grain bin in the near future. We would be happy to help you design grain bins of any size to suit your needs.

For our excavation/construction business, we are available to complete jobs of all shapes and sizes. We build agricultural ponds for cattle and scenic ponds for new residences. We utilize GPS/laser technology to complete waterway and terrace projects, in accordance with government regulations. We demolished several buildings in downtown South Haven, Kansas, as well as small and large structures for individuals and farmers. We are also available to install culverts, take out trees and fence lines, and ready sites for new construction.

Please feel free to contact us about any of your farming needs. We look forward to hearing from you.
